Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Natron
Day 1
Airport transfer to Arusha town and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National park is known for large herds of elephants and other wildlife.
Enjoy afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight in Tarangire.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National park. Although small in comparison to the other parks in the northern circuit, Lake Manyara is known for the unique tree-climbing lions and it’s abundant birdlife. Lake Manyara national park is also home to the first ever treetops walk way in Tanzania.
Full day game drive.
Dinner and overnight in Lake Manyara.
Day 3
After breakfast, take a detour to Lake Eyasi for those looking for something remote and off the beaten path. This area is known for the Hadzabe bushmen and the Datoga people who live a life detached from modern civilization and subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting.
Dinner and overnight in Lake Eyasi.
Day 4
After watching the Hadzabe hunters set off early morning for their usual hunting routine, return to your lodge for breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. Here you can expect to see a wide range of animals including lions, buffalos, rhinos, elephants among others.
Afternoon at leisure enjoying your lodge.
Dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro or Karatu.
Day 5
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro crater for full day game drive.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National park, the home of the wildebeest migration. Apart from the migration, Serengeti National park is abundant in resident wildlife including the big 5, Zebras and the small 5.
Enjoy afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight in central Serengeti.
Day 7
Full day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives.
Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
Day 8
Depart for Lake Natron. This is a long scenic drive going off the beaten path and a great detour from the safari circuit. East Africa has 1.5-2.5 million Lesser Flamingos, representing three-quarters of the world population and most of them are hatched at Lake Natron.
Afternoon activity.
Dinner and overnight in Lake Natron.
Day 9
After breakfast, spend the day in Lake Natron to experience activities as organized by the lodge inclusive of nature walks to Lake Natron.
Dinner and overnight in Lake Natron.
Day 10
After breakfast, depart for Arusha and drop off airport for departure.
